My Most Important Story

sky--WEB

I have many stories of course (as do you too, I’m sure), but this is the one that drives the core of my being.

small-image-of-me-with-logoThis is the story of my faith.

I am a Christ-follower because He dramatically changed my life when I was 19, and He continues to amaze, encourage and transform my life today. I would not be where I am or who I am without His constant love, protection and guidance.

I love to dig deeper into His love letter to me and you (otherwise known as the Bible) and to discover more about how my small life at home can be used for lasting eternal purposes.

Jesus says that His ways are “life to the fullest” (John 10:10) and they are the source of lasting joy, peace, comfort and happiness (Galatians 5:22, Romans 8:6, John 16:33, Philippians 4:6-9).

That’s the life I want to have, so, with a lot of prayer, perseverance and grace, I daily strive to align my restless heart with His perfect plans for me.

In short, my walk with God is not a religion I blindly follow, with rules reserved just for Sunday morning.

Instead, I have a living relationship with the God of the universe—the one who created the rays of the sun, who invented Gerbera daisies, and who designed the inner workings of every person who has ever lived and who will ever live!

He knows me (and you) perfectly, and it’s my goal to go deeper every day in my knowledge of Him.

But my relationship with God is not some strange mystical thing reserved just for me.

I can testify that there is more to life than just day-to-day living. God didn’t design you to just exist. You can have more…. so much more.

He wants to give you more than just a good job, a strong marriage, a beautiful house…  and even more than a loving family.

Our reason for existing has to be more than what this life offers, wouldn't you agree? We are more than the sum of our desires and our habits. We are eternal beings, created to be in loving relationship with God our Father.

Yes, even in the throws of toddlerhood, dirty dishes and marital disagreements we can experience deep soul contentment.

I’m challenging you too to seek out this deeper side of life… to discover fullness and richness in all circumstances, even the less than ideal ones.

If you don't have a relationship with God (or have never experienced spirituality in this way) I would love to share with you more about how to get started in a personal relationship with God here.
